Greg Stone

Greg Stone (PSA, IAPS/MC) is a landscape artist working in pastel and oil. A Tulsa native, Greg spent time as a child and a young adult drawing and painting but began to pursue landscape painting seriously after completing his Ph.D. in English from the University of Tulsa in 2015. Since then, his work has been exhibited and collected across the country and has appeared in Plein Air Magazine and Pastel Journal. He is a sought-after workshop presenter and regularly teaches at Tulsa’s WaterWorks Art Center.
He has won several major awards, including fifth place in the 2025 Pastel 100 competition sponsored by Pastel Journal and Best Pastel in the April 2021 Plein Air Salon. He also has won awards at several plein air competitions and competed in the 10th annual Bath County Plein Air Festival in 2023.
Greg is represented by the Warm Springs Gallery in Warm Springs, VA; Susan Eddings Perez Gallery in Santa Fe, NM; and the Terra Rosa Gallery in Guthrie, OK.
He is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America and an Associate Member of the American Impressionist Society, and he holds a Master Circle distinction from the International Association of Pastel Societies. He is a member of the Oklahoma Pastel Society and the MidAmerica Pastel Society and became a juried member of Tulsa Artists Guild in 2025.
