Kathy states "​I live in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, having retired from my work life I have been able to get back to my love or art and painting has become my passion.   I am mostly self taught but have taken many classes and workshops from other artists.  My main focus has been on animals and wildlife.  I see their strength and beauty and strive to show that in my paintings.  We have several bird feeders and I watch and photograph the many birds that visit our back yard.  They have become a source of my smaller paintings which I call my aviary series. 
Each animal tells me a story with their expression and I want to convey that to the viewer.  The eyes are a connection to their soul.
